Completed a Research Degree? Our Careers Workshops need you!

THE Melbourne School of Graduate Research (MSGR) is looking for alumni working in a range of fields to share their experiences and offer advice at a careers workshop.

Regardless of whether you are an early career researcher, a seasoned professional or an academic staff member, if you are an alumnus who has completed a research degree (PhD, Professional Doctorate, Masters by Research) and would be interested in joining a panel in the second semester 2009 and 2010 careers workshop series, the MSGR would like to hear from you.

Panel members will be asked to provide advice and biographical anecdotes on their career paths to introduce Research Higher Degree students to the ways in which a research degree can lead to a range of different career paths.

To highlight the flexibility of research degree, MSGR is particularly interested in hearing from those who have transitioned from academia or research into a different career (for example administration, industry) or have moved from a non-academic career into an academic or research field.

The MSGR also welcomes volunteers who would like to take on larger roles in the workshops.
