MELBOURNE'S alumni bushwalking group is set to head to Cape Otway next month to tackle the Great Ocean Walk. Those interested in joining the Melbourne University and Alumni Bushwalking Group (MUABG) at Cape Otway will need to be free on the weekend of 16 - 17 May. For those who would like to go bushwalking a bit closer to home, the group will also host a suburban walk on 18 April.
MUABG is a small, friendly group of bushwalkers who welcome new members of all ages, who have a connection to the University. The group walks on the third Saturday of each month from March to November, and walks are usually around 12 to 15 km long. Many walks have a special focus, such as botany, history or water management, stemming from the expertise and interests of walk leaders.
