Join Asialink in Sydney for an introduction to the program and the array of residency partners across the region. The event will also offer opportunities for Q&A. This event is also presented in Melbourne on Thursday 9 August. The Asialink Arts Residency Program has been operating since 1991. The aim of this program is to broaden the experiences available to Australian artists in the Asian region; to develop projects related to the host country; and to encourage ongoing involvement and collaboration between Australian and Asian artists and organisations. The residencies are a professional development opportunity for Australian arts practitioners and also act to foster bilateral relationships in the region. The grant of up to $12,000 is to be used towards travel, living, and project expenses. The residency experience affords recipients the opportunity for in- depth research, stimulating cultural exchange, international collaboration and uninterrupted time for creativity.
