Join Asialink in Melbourne for an introduction to the program and the array of residency partners across the region. The event will also offer opportunities for Q&A. This event is also presented in WA on Wednesday 25 July. The Asialink Arts Residency Program has been operating since 1991. The aim of this program is to broaden the experiences available to Australian artists in the Asian region; to develop projects related to the host country; and to encourage ongoing involvement and collaboration between Australian and Asian artists and organisations. The residencies are a professional development opportunity for Australian arts practitioners and also act to foster bilateral relationships in the region. The grant of up to $12,000 is to be used towards travel, living, and project expenses. The residency experience affords recipients the opportunity for in- depth research, stimulating cultural exchange, international collaboration and uninterrupted time for creativity.
