10 Jun 2008 Memo: Collection of non-standard teaching dates for 2009 Robert Koop, Project Manager, Student System Project In 2008 only, Student System Project staff will be asking Faculties and Schools to provide the teaching dates for all non-standard subjects so we can accurately record them in the new student system. This collection process will replace the census dates spreadsheet you are used to filling in for Enrolment Management Services, so you will not be asked for this information more than once. In future years, flexible teaching information will be rolled forward in the system.
8 Apr 2008 email: Please Check Your New Subject Codes by 18 April Susan Weikert, Manager, Change and Communications, Student System Project A reminder to Student Centre Managers, Faculty General Managers, and reference group members to check the new subject codes for potential errors in the assignment of Area of Study and Study Level and report these to the Merlin Hotline by 18 April.

It follows from my original memo dated 14 May 2007, which sought your assistance in identifying and implementing required changes to these systems.
12 Feb 2008 Memo: Changes to Student System Tables Management Lachlan Cameron, Director, Student Management Services, and Robert Koop, Project Manager, Student System Project This memo provides important information about forthcoming changes to way course and subject tables data data will be managed and maintained in the new student system as well as in Merlin for its remaining lifespan. Some of these changes will take effect very shortly, and involve changes to Merlin access by Faculty Tables Officers.

The Action and Reference Guide of Changes Affecting Students is a guide to the changes which affect students, arising from the implementation of the new student system. The Action and Reference Guide of Changes Affecting Students aims to:

The Guide is not designed to replace training and detailed documentation on the new student system or on new or changed processes or policies.

The Guide is posted on this web page (ssp.unimelb.edu.au/notices/) which is accessible from computers on the University network only.

Staff will be informed of major changes and additions to the Guide as appropriate. Memos and notices are the primary mechanism for alerting managers to a change, and each will point to the Guide in each case.
